Description

Our client, a growing SME founded in the early 1980s in the entertainment sector, is looking for a Financial Analyst specializing in budgets to join their team. You will report directly to the Finance Director, whom Cielo has placed in the position and we highly appreciate. She always keeps her door open. This is your chance to join a company with great potential and significant growth. They have several large-scale projects underway, with many more to come! The position is offered on a hybrid basis.

In this role as a Financial Analyst in charge of budgets and financial forecasts, you will work closely with the executive producer responsible for production budgets. You will oversee the entire budgeting process and business plan, ensuring its successful implementation. This responsibility also includes implementing budgeting management tools and financial modeling to track projections effectively.

One of your key tasks will be to prepare and manage the cashflows associated with the budgeting process and the business plan. You will need to closely monitor the financial flows and ensure that the annual budgets and cashflows are updated in real-time as new projects come in. This approach guarantees that financial goals are tracked and met throughout the year.

At the same time, you will be responsible for updating actual results and comparing them with the budget forecasts of ongoing projects. It will be your responsibility to ensure that the allocated budgets for different projects are strictly adhered to and to quickly identify any discrepancies. If variances are detected, you will need to analyze their causes and communicate the necessary adjustments to maintain consistency between forecasts and budgets. This role requires strong analytical skills, responsiveness, and communication to ensure optimal financial management of projects.

A great opportunity in a company that expects significant growth in the coming years.

Profile

Bilingual CPA with a minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and production, with a particular aptitude for reporting and presentations. You will not only be an expert in finance but also capable of advising production and finance teams. As a key link between these two departments, you will provide valuable support to the Finance Director, particularly regarding budget management, including daily budgets.

Expertise in financial reporting, with a strong focus on cashflows, is essential. The ability to understand issues related to grants, credits, and WIP is a significant advantage. You will also need to challenge company leadership and effectively negotiate with bankers, production directors, and other stakeholders. This role requires negotiation skills, an intrapreneurial mindset, and the ability to build strong relationships while helping to grow the team.
