Description

Our client, a Canadian SME in the manufacturing sector, is looking for a Controller to join its growing team. The company, known for its expertise and commitment to quality, operates in various dynamic and constantly evolving sectors. You will report directly to a CFO recognized for his human approach, who works tirelessly to support his team and foster a collaborative environment. This Controller position will allow you to play a strategic role in a dynamic company. The position is offered on a hybrid basis.

As a Controller, you will take charge of the entire accounting team and play a central role in the company’s strategic financial management. You will lead the monthly closing processes, oversee the preparation of financial statements, ensure a flawless reconciliation of general accounts, and supervise journal entries. You will also ensure the compliance of tax filings and financial audits, while optimizing sales tax management and ensuring that every financial aspect is audited with precision. Your expertise will allow you to accurately record transactions related to assets and liabilities, while proactively supporting the accounting department, and overseeing the finances of the factory in Mexico in partnership with the local controller.

You will drive the annual budgeting process, orchestrating financial forecasts with precision and providing in-depth performance analysis. Your recommendations will be crucial in steering profitability strategy. You will also play a key role in negotiating forward contracts, securing optimal financial solutions for the company.

As an expert in internal controls, you will create and implement innovative policies to solve complex issues and continuously improve business processes. You will ensure compliance by proposing adjustments that will enhance the effectiveness and security of financial operations.

Your influence will also extend to process optimization, actively contributing to the design of operational processes that adhere to the highest financial standards while supporting the company’s ERP system. You will collaborate seamlessly with all teams (finance, purchasing, sales, operations, planning), ensuring that everyone’s needs are accurately addressed.

On the treasury side, you will ensure the production of key quarterly reports for the bank and oversee the management of currency funds (CAD, USD, EUR), while optimizing the companies' credit lines to ensure optimal liquidity.

Finally, you will be a true strategic partner, collaborating with operational teams, analyzing cash flow, and contributing to the development of ambitious business plans. You will also provide valuable support in managing billing, accounts payable, and payroll, offering effective solutions at every stage of the process. You will be at the heart of the action, making a real impact on the company’s growth and profitability.

Profile
