Description

Our client, a solid and rapidly growing company with several business sectors, is looking for an Assistant Controller to join their team. You will report to a manager who keeps an open door, is a good communicator, and values collaboration. As an Assistant Controller, you will be a key player in a dynamic team, and your team spirit, positive attitude, and ability to learn quickly will be valuable assets to succeed in this role. A CPA designation (or in the process of obtaining it) is required for this position.

In your role, you will be responsible for contributing to the month-end close cycle in a multi-company environment, which will include preparing necessary adjustments in case of errors in the accounting books. You will also monitor cash flow on a weekly basis and coordinate payment production, ensuring the smooth operation of financial activities.

You will prepare financial reports and month-end analyses, providing a clear and accurate overview of the financial situation. You will also be responsible for producing government reports and assisting during year-end audits to ensure account compliance.

You will also coordinate the work of accounting clerks, ensuring the efficient execution of daily accounting tasks. You will play a key role in the construction payment process and will be responsible for tracking payment receipts. Additionally, you will produce monthly invoices for construction projects and review various invoices to ensure proper accounting in the books.

Another responsibility will be to follow up on subcontractor contract terminations, while contributing to the monthly loan disbursement request process. Finally, you will actively participate in the production of monthly reports, contributing to the rigorous financial management of the division.

Your ability to work with rigor, coordinate different teams effectively, and analyze financial results will allow you to play a central role in the smooth operation of the division's accounting and financial activities.

Profile

A CPA (or pending) with a minimum of 3 years of experience, ideally in the real estate sector, mastering the full accounting cycle, and having experience in a multi-company environment. We are looking for a dynamic individual motivated to grow within the company. You should be eager to learn, develop, and take on new responsibilities as you progress professionally.
