As Divisional Controller, you will manage the FP&A functions, including analysis of current costs, monitoring of budgets and forecasts. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, while adjusting forecasts in line with economic and operational developments. In addition, you will be involved in costing, including journal entries, financial accounting, inventory management and cost of goods sold calculations. It will be essential to understand and manage costs associated with production and operations, particularly in relation to purchasing, BOMs, production, safety, as well as engineering departments.
You will play a key role in supporting the division, actively collaborating with purchasing teams to challenge BOM assumptions and accuracy, and liaising with production and operations to ensure rigorous cost management. You will be in close contact with the floor supervisor and the person responsible for Bill of Materials management to ensure the accuracy of financial data. You will analyze manufacturing KPIs, such as hours per piece and other production performance measures, in order to propose continuous improvements.
In the first few months of the position, you'll be expected to take charge and build strong internal relationships, particularly in the operational accounting area. Thereafter, you will be involved in a number of manufacturing projects, including a reorganization of work management and strategic support to the General Manager for new initiatives. You'll need to be able to assess the impact of changes on the company's financial results. This role offers constant challenges and opportunities for development in line with the company's strategic projects.
Bilingual CPA with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have solid FP&A and costing experience, and be able to understand the financial and operational challenges facing the company. We are also looking for an inquisitive individual, able to question the status quo, challenge peers and propose innovative solutions to improve processes. The latter will understand not only the financial aspects, but also the business dimension, with an ability to grasp the dynamics of the organization and adapt his or her recommendations in line with strategic objectives. The candidate will also need to demonstrate strong analytical skills and excellent business acumen to make a significant contribution to strategic decision-making within the company. A strong ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both in writing and orally, and to collaborate effectively with other departments, is essential for this role.
