Description

As Controller, you will be responsible for the complete management of operational accounting and payment tracking. You will oversee financial accounting, including the preparation and validation of monthly financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with current standards. You will also carry out an in-depth review of existing accounting processes and propose improvements to optimize the efficiency of the team, controls and operations.

You will play a key role in optimizing the SAP system, understanding the logic behind it and ensuring optimal use of data for the company's financial needs. In addition, you will be responsible for the weekly distribution of financial reports to the bank for Asset Based Lending (ABL) compliance.

Finally, you will be involved in the continuous improvement of internal processes and their documentation, ensuring the application of financial controls and the management of regulatory, tax and government rebate obligations. You will also collaborate with management and other departments to ensure the smooth running of financial management at all levels of the company.

Profile

Bilingual CPA with a minimum of 5 years of experience in financial accounting, including 5 years in a similar position in a multi-site international environment, with an entrepreneurial spirit. We are looking for someone with knowledge of taxation and the Microsoft Office suite, who is well-versed in IT tools, particularly ERP and other technologies, as our client uses an older version of SAP.

Your qualities include excellent analytical skills and effective problem-solving abilities; resourcefulness is a must! You have a rigorous work ethic, a high degree of autonomy and a keen sense of organization. The ideal candidate has a strong ability to plan and manage priorities, while being driven by a constant desire to improve processes in order to optimize efficiency within the company. We're looking for a candidate with a desire to understand what they do, then document it and transfer their knowledge and best business practices to their team. In short, a coach-mentor approach with the capacity for strategic vision and the ability to roll up their sleeves and get down to the nitty-gritty right from the start.
